Bio:

Hello! My name is Ariston Collander. I am an IT professional bringing over 10 years experience in systems management working in diverse and fast paced environments.

Professionally, as the Systems Engineering Manager at PCV Murcor, I manage the daily workflow of two Systems Analysts and two Systems Engineers, one specializing in Citrix and the other in VMware, as well as maintain the backend infrastructure components including the virtual environments and SAN storage.  Keeping the backend systems and virtual infrastructure healthy is paramount to a successful business. Leveraging both proprietary and open source solutions, it is my job to maintain technology continuity and provide recommendations to the CIO regarding potential cost savings through the enhanced re-use of existing equipment and leveraging the assistance of respected technology vendors.

Academically, I am currently pursuing my Masters degree in Information Systems through the University of Phoenix. I acquired my Bachelors in Information Technology in 2007 and in order to move my career forward, I felt that continuing my education to the Masters level was a prudent move. I anticipate graduating in September of 2011.

Personally, I am the father of two amazing boys ages 6 and 3. They are my future.  Socially, I am very active with Twitter and Facebook and consider myself an early adopter of new technologies, particularly in the mobile space with Google’s Android OS. My passion is photography, specializing in glamour and modeling images, when I’m not working or taking pictures, I’m playing World of Warcraft or spending my time with my amazing girlfriend.

On Monday nights I can be found in Redlands, California attending Redlands Lodge #300, Free and Accepted Masons where I am currently serving as an Officer of the lodge.
